Goals for a lifetime...

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument? I have...of course, my dream for heaven is to play the piano well enough be able to be a rehearsal accompanist...because they are GOOD. But that will just have to be a musical gift given by a magic wand. I have also desired to play the cello. I don't think I have the stamina for the viola, but I do think that I could learn to play the cello and this starter cello kit looks like a great deal - and such a great way to get started!

What is your musical dream?

My dream is the cello, too! I want to be able to play "The Swan". That's my ultimate goal. I played the viola in a former life, and trust me, if I can do it, any one can!

What the. . .? That IS a great deal!! I'm wary. . .though they warn me NOT to be. . .and we should trust them, right? You need to play the cello -- and I'll throw in the piano lessons for free, if you're interested. I told Jonah he needs to play the cello, but he insists he can only play one instrument, and that will be the drums. Seriously? Why do children torment their parents?

My dream is not to play an instrument (I no longer have the time and energy to devote to it), but if I had the means, I would fund it. I would build a symphony hall; sponsor a choral group; encourage a young talent; supply a room full of instruments - just for the opportunity to listen to them and to hear their progress.
